The Massacoe State Forest is a nice place to escape the busy life that most of us live.
There are no hills or mountains, meaning that this location is rather flat. This can be a great thing depending on what type of experience you're looking for.
Parking is a fairly large size, and the trails are mostly taken care of. There is a "lake" in the center, but when I went, it was more of a shallow marsh. I don't recall if there was a drought at the time. I did see some awesome birds hanging around!
I also came across an old assembly area that was completely overgrown, and rotting. It would be nice to see this repaired.
