When Smith Insurance was not owned by Brown and Brown - They were 5 star! LOVED THEM! Recommended them to all!
Since the buyout by Brown and Brown? Less than 1 star but that is not an option.
They fired close to everyone with the buy out. I wasn't aware for SIX MONTHS that my agent was no longer with the company. I kept e-mailing and calling the receptionist. I kept getting shoved off or sent to general voicemail, or simply no response at all.
It took me 3 months to get a return phone call OR e-mail response to make a change to my policy. February-April 2017
It took me 4 requests by e-mail, and 3 phone calls and 3 weeks (June-July 2017) to get a copy of my loss runs for my company's policy.
Took over a month of more than 6 phone call requests for them to send a Certificate of Insurance. December 2017
I requested a change to my policy in November 2017, and spoke with the agent - she never processed it. Therefore higher insurance payment necessary.
This company only cares about the money they make NOT the customers. That is not a way to do business.
