Unlike my experiences with most other Hertz locations or their national operation, this location's employees were very helpful, especially Michael Hunter, when trying to deal with insurance company nonsense. Professional, polite, and all went out of their way to do what they could. While I'm not generally a Hertz fan (can you tell?) I would rent again from this location.
BEWARE - You may cancel your rental reservation -- this location can still rent the car on a cancelled reservation and charge your credit card or send a bill for payment. I am persident's circle member with Hertz. I often rent from Hertz. Specific to Stamford Maint St location, this location offers pick up and drop off facility which i liked and rented few times. Not much waiting time or queue at this location. Reason for my rating - recently i made a reservation and cancelled a day before the pick up time and got cancellation number in email. I thought reservation is closed.... After 3 weeks i see a charge on my credit card statement for $541.93 showing the car is rented and my credit card is charged. I spoke twice to Hertz customer service and twice to location. Mr West at location acknowledged that i did not rented the car and it is a wrong charge that they have to fix it .......after 3 weeks I receive an invoice in mail from Hertz that the charge is valid and i have to pay. Hertz customer service says they cannot do any thing on this and Hertz Location manager will not answer phone calls.
